x11 and gnome

I was a bit pertubed when I recently installed freebsd version 5.

After the basic installation, I followed the instructions to configure x11 and it just wouldn't work. Pretty much everything froze up.

Finally in desperation I just delete the configuration files I had created according to the instructions and everything worked perfectly!

On a second installation, I just skipped all the x11 configuration and everything has been working since.
