how to configure x11 under freebsd

The X11 configuration for freebsd causes many people grief, I believe.

For freebsd 6 I followed the instructions and it just didn't work. When I finally gave up and deleted the configuration files I made it magically worked!

Unlike the instructions I was reading, the normal installation of freebsd configured everything properly for X11 for me.

So after you install freebsd you might just try starting x11 and see if it works before you mess with trying to configure it!

That will surely help many since this is really a trouble many users might face. This may be because of the screen configuration and the matching driver related issues.
