As we all know that KDE and GNome are the main two interfaces in Linux environment do we have the same support in desktop based FreeBSD also?

Yes. I use Gnome and loaded KDE on top of it. I never use KDE but I use some KDE applications and everything seems to work well.

I use FreeBSD 7, and KDE works fine with common applications.

now i use Gnome, but is your's choice.

try: cd /usr/ports/x11/kde3 && make clean && make install clean

or pkg_add -r kde3

I use gnome, but have KDE installed and occassionally run KDE under gnome, or use some of the KDE applications in gnome.
